Resurrection

You show 4 pieces of the same card, which you place on the playing surface. You say that last night in a bar, someone tried to show you a magic trick, and here is the result: 4 torn-up pieces of a card. But it's not a problem, since you have just invented an instant reconnecting machine.

You hold the pack and place it very quickly over the deck of cards that you hold in your hands. A second later, the pieces of the torn-up card have reconnected themselves. The viewer is free to inspect and verify the result: the card is completely resurrected!
